The Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, has on Tuesday awarded scholarships to 50 students in Ile-Ife, during the 2022 Christmas party organised at his palace.
It was gathered that part of the students that benefited were from the level of primary and secondary schools in Ile-Ife, as well as schools for persons with special needs.
Moses Olafare Who is the Ooni’s spokesperson, in a statement issued out today, Wednesday, noted that the first-class monarch was represented by one of his wives, Olori Temitope Adesegun-Ogunwusi, who doubles as boss of the monarch’s charity house ‘Hopes Alive Initiatives’, the organisers of the children’s Christmas party.
The Oba’s was said to have admonished the children who bagged the scholarship to remain focused in their education, imbibe the spirit of hard work and look up to good people with virtuous characters as role models to be positive thinker in the society.
Mrs. Olusola Adewusi, Who is the the wife of the Deputy Governor of Osun State, also attended the event that was held in the King’s palace.
