Music legend 2Baba (Innocent Idibia) has opened up about profound regrets in his life, acknowledging that emotional pressures have led to some of his most challenging decisions.
Speaking on the Mic On podcast, the singer reflected on past experiences, stating he would handle many situations differently if he could. “There are so many things I wish I could rewind and do better,” he confessed, adding that stress can impair judgment. “As a human being, there are times when you are overwhelmed or don’t make the best decisions.”
During the conversation, 2Baba addressed the widely publicised incident in London in October 2025, where he was arrested following a public disagreement with his wife, Natasha Osawaru. He took full responsibility, attributing his actions to anger at the time. “I was angry that day,” he admitted, noting the difficulty of managing personal issues under constant public scrutiny.
The father of eight also spoke candidly about his shortcomings in parenthood, expressing a desire to be more present in his children’s lives. “I have not been the best daddy. I want to do more,” he said, while also emphasizing his preference for keeping his family life private.
2Baba concluded that these personal trials have fostered deeper self-reflection, teaching him crucial lessons about accountability, emotional regulation, and continual growth.
