Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, has appealed to the Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, to shelve his plan of going back to class after the completion of his tenure, adding that the Kaduna Governor(El-Rufai) leadership traits are needed when he eventually emerges as the President of Nigeria after the 2023 presidential election.
Bola Tinubu showered encomiums on the Kaduna Governor, El-Rufai while speaking at the Kaduna Investment programme during the weekend tagged “Building a resilient economy”.
The event was held at the Arewa Hall, Kaduna, the capital city of the state capital, on Saturday.
The former Lagos state Governor, Tinubu noted that he needed a thinker like the Kaduna State helmsman when he finally emerges Nigeria President.
“As a visionary governor that you are, we are proud to be associated with what you are doing. And the future is set up for Kaduna State and the country at large.
“I am particularly begging El-Rufai not to run away for additional degrees after his tenure.
“If you leave me on this podium, I will continue to campaign here, begging El-Rufai not to run away from Nigeria in 2023 because we need your (El-Rufai) creativity, resilience and ability to turn things around at this critical time,” he added.
The Kaduna Governor, El-Rufai while reacting said, “I promise to stay even on a part-time basis.”
On plans set aside to revitalize the country’s fallen economy, Bola stressed, “we will prioritise ease of doing business, and ensure steady power supply and distribution.” He added
