About 15 persons have been confirmed d£ad in the mosque att@ck in Gadan village in Gezawa Local Government Area of Kano State.
It was gathered on Wednesday, 15th of May, 2024, a 38 years old man identified as Shafi’u Abubakar, was nabbed by the police after he set the mosque abl@ze and tr@pped at least 40 worshippers inside by locking the door.
The att@ck which occurred on Wednesday morning left 24 persons with different degrees of b¥rns on their body.
However, speaking with newsmen on Friday, 17th of May, 2024, the state Commissioner of Police, Usaini Gumel, said so far, 15 out of the 24 victims of the incident have di£d.
Gumel stated that the incident happened during a dawn prayer at a mosque in Gadan village, leaving 24 worshippers inj¥red.
