Wura-Ola Adepoju, the acting comptroller general of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), has revealed that over 100,000 booklets are yet to be collected across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
According to a post shared on its X page on Friday, 6th of October, 2023, the Comptroller General explained that the service had cleared all the 204,332 passport application backlogs after the Minister of Interior Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo’ gave a two-week deadline to the Service.
She said:
“91,981 passport booklets had been collected so far. There are 112,351 others not yet collected”.
