Two people were injured by a suicide bomber in Biu Local Government Area of Borno State, according to confirmation from the Borno police on Monday.
The Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the command, ASP @nk_daso Nahum, confirmed on Monday.
According to Nahum, the event happened on Sunday night about 8:00 p.m., during the Muslim faithful’s night prayers.
”The male suicide bomber, who was suspected to be heading to the mosque, detonated the Improvised Explosive Device(IED) close to the roundabout, killing himself.
”Two passersby who were wounded by the explosive were immediately rushed to a hospital for treatment.
”A combined team of security personnel were immediately deployed to the scene of the incident to restore normalcy,” he said. [CONTINUE READING HERE]
