A terrorist attack on a Christian community in Plateau State has left at least nine people dead. The assault targeted Chigwi village in the Vwang district during a New Year’s Eve crossover service on Wednesday.
According to local official Iliya Chung, the victims included men, women, and children. He reported that six bodies were recovered immediately after the attack, with the death toll rising to nine by Thursday morning after several of the wounded succumbed to their injuries in the hospital.
