Former Borno Governor, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, believes that regional collaboration is the key to permanently ending the Boko Haram insurgency in Nigeria.
Sheriff, who once governed the state most affected by the group’s activities, shared his insights on Monday during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, hosted by Seun Okinbaloye.
When asked about a lasting solution to the ongoing security challenge, he emphasised the importance of a coordinated effort among the nations in the region.
Sheriff said:
“What should be done is that we have to have proper relationship with Cameroon, Chad and Niger.”
