A couple’s personalized portrait and names were featured on N200 note in a video that went viral on social media.
The names Emwinghare and Adazee, as well as the date 26-03-2023, are printed on the note, and wasofficially labelled as the “Wedding Republic of Nigeria” rather than the “Central Bank of Nigeria.”
Strict guidelines from the Central Bank of Nigeria forbid manipulating the nation’s currency.
These changes are punishable by law since they are considered “mutilation.”
But the appearance of these personalized remarks has caused a rush of responses from online users.
