Cultural Values Make Law Enforcement In The Country Difficult – ACP Adejobi

The Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has described law enforcement in Nigeria as challenging.

Adejobi stated this on his X page on Sunday, 17th of March, 2024, noting the tendency for cultural values to conflict with the established legal framework.

He stressed that there is the need to distinguish between cultural values and the law.

He wrote,

“Enforcing the law is a difficult task generally but more difficult in Nigeria due to many driving factors.

“I have discovered that we allow our cultural values to suppress and override our legal framework.

“We need to demarcate between these cultural values and the law. It’s sacrosanct.
