President Bola Tinubu has called on Nigerians to recommit themselves to the core principles of June 12, emphasising freedom, transparency, social justice, and inclusive governance.
In a message on his X handle on Friday, he highlighted the enduring significance of June 12, the date of Nigeria’s historic 1993 presidential election widely regarded as the freest and fairest in the nation’s history.
Tinubu wrote:
“Let us rededicate ourselves to the ideals of June 12; freedom, transparent and accountable government, social justice, active citizen participation, and a just society where no one is oppressed.
