Zamfara Governor Secures Release Of 11 Kidnapped Victims (Photos)

Not fewer than 11 persons have been rescued from the kidnappers den in zamfara state with the help of the state government.

The victim’s rescue was secured by the governor of zamfara state, Bello Matawalle without any ransom paid.

The rescue was made possible through the state government initiative called “carrot and stick”, according to a statement issued by Jamilu Iliyasu Magaji, the Press Secretary to the governor.

Receiving the victims on Saturday night, the governor assured that his administration will not rest on its oars until total peace is achieved in all parts of the state.

The Governor explained that the peace accord and reconciliation process with repentant bandits will be sustained in the state, while those unrepentant ones will face the full wrath of the law.

Other ls who joined the governor in receiving the victims includes, some members of the National Assembly from the state that included Senator representing Zamfara Central Senatorial District, Senator Hassan Muhammed Nasiha, and his counterpart of Zamfara West Senatorial District, Alh. Lawal Hassan Dan Iya Anka, as well as some senior Government officials.

However, it is without doubt that the carrot and stick option adopted by the Zamfara state government in the fight against banditry in the state has yielded positive results as many Bandits in the state have laid down their arms to embrace peace.

Earlier this month, on 9th November precisely, the state government secured the release of 26 Kidnapped girls, bringing the total of rescued people as of then to 40
