Xavi reacts to his appointment as Barcelona’s new manager

Xavi Hernandez has expressed his feelings on being named Barcelona’s next manager.

On Friday, Barcelona announced the appointment of Xavi, a club legend, as their next manager.

After bidding his farewell to Qatari side Al-Sadd ahead of his return to Barcelona, Xavi signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with the Blaugrana.

Xavi, who takes over from Ronald Koeman, is expected to arrive at the Nou Camp this weekend for his formal introduction and first news conference on Monday.

Speaking after Barcelona confirmed his return to the club, Xavi said in an emotional video: “It wasn’t goodbye. It was see you soon.
