“When I made my first 200k my mum carried me to go and give pastor as first fruit” – Singer, Blaqbonez flashback at his humble beginnings

Emeka Akumefule, better known as Blaqbonez, a popular Nigerian singer, has taken to social media to reflect on his humble beginnings in the music industry.

Blaqbonez, who claimed that he had the longest road to success in the music industry, recounted how he had to produce his songs himself because he didn’t have the money to pay for other people’s services.

He also recalled collapsing on the main road and crying after a sound engineer called to inform him that his system had crashed and he had lost all of his songs.

He went on to say that when he first made 200k, he intended to use it to buy studio equipment, but his mum influenced him to give to a pastor as first fruit.

“I took the longest road to success in this music ting, i fucking dropped 8 mixtapes, when i look back it don’t make sense that I didn’t give up.

The first mixtape i recorded, sound engineer called me to say his system crashed and everything was lost, i fell to the ground on the main road in tears, cos omo i was traveling from oau to lagos every weekend to record it 😭
