The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has made touch with some of the people trapped in the 21-story building that collapsed on Gerard Road in Ikoyi, according to the agency.
As the rescue operation for the victims intensified, Ibrahim Farinloye, the NEMA coordinator for the South-West, revealed this to journalists.
Mr Farinloye further revealed that some of the victims congregated near the mustard point in the building when it fell, according to a survivor who talked to one of his family and was corroborated by the rescue team.
He stated that rescue efforts had increased, but with caution, in order to guarantee that any survivors were unharmed.
The building collapsed around 2:00 p.m. on Monday with scores of people trapped in the building.
