UEFA has said the Champions League semi-finals will be devoid of the presence of both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo for the first time since 2005.
The European football body reveal the startling statistic after Barcelona’s humiliating 8-2 defeat to Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals.
In a tweet, UEFA wrote on its official Twitter handle:
The UCL semi-finals will not feature either Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo for the first time since 2004/05.
Meanwhile, Juventus crashed out to Lyon on away goals at the last-16 stage, despite a 2-1 win in Turin.
Also, Bayern Munich battered Barcelona 8-2, Friday evening, to book a spot in the UEFA Champions League, UEFA, semi-finals
