Two ad-hoc staff of the Independent Electoral Commission are missing as the commission declare the state Assembly bye-election inconclusive.
The ad-hoc staff’s whereabout is still unknown in the election that was conducted in Bakura constituency in Zamfara State on Saturday.
The returning Officer Professor Ibrahim Magawata, who confirm this to newsmen said, “the election results of five polling units in Bakura ward have been cancelled”.
He said the affected a total number of 11,429 votes and has declared so far that the PDP candidate, Alhaji Ibrahim Tudu, has scored the total number of 18645 votes, while the APC candidate, Alhaji Bello Dankande Gamji scored 16464 votes.
However, the returning officer reveal that the new date for the conclusion of the election for the affected polling units would be announced later.
