Our kidney is a very vital organ, that plays a major role in removing harmful toxins and to much water from our body. This body organ can be easily destroyed by some of the behaviors that we develop as we grow old.
If we must avoid kidney failure then we should take good care our kidneys by avoiding these harmful habits.
NOT TAKING ENOUGH WATER:
For we to keep your body hydrated (STADY WORKING) and healthy, we are advised to drink at least 1.5 to 2 litres of water in a day. If we don’t take enough water, then we are slowly killing our kidneys. Not taking enough water can lead to painful kidney stones which negatively affects our health.
TOOMUCH OF PAIN KILLER DRUGS:
People often use painkillers to to stop pain and aches, but overusing pain medicine can be dangerous to our kidneys, especially if you already have kidney disease. Research shows that long term use of painkillers can increase the risk of kidney cancer by 50%.
TOO MUCH OF ALCOHOL:
Studies show that consuming more than 4 drinks a day can result to chronic kidney disease. Alcohol causes changes in the function of our kidneys, thus affecting their ability to filter blood. Heavy drinking also increases urine acid and it can lead to kidney failure.
HOLDING OUR URINE FOR TO LONG:
Naturally our body has to get rid of waste products from the bladder which is a healthy thing for our kidneys. If we have an habit of holding urine for a long period of time, then we are damaging our kidneys. This often increases pressure on our kidneys which can lead to serious kidney health problems.
NOT GETTING ENOUGH SLEEP:
Getting enough sleep turns out to be extremely important for our general well-being. If we don’t get a good night rest properly it can affect our kidneys as well. This is because kidneys function is highly regulated by the sleep – wake cycle which usually helps to coordinate your kidneys workload over 24hrs.
NOTE: If you want to have a healthy kidney, adopt healthy habits and always remember to eat a healthy balanced diet (not too much of carbohydrates and starchy foods and fry foods) and take more of fruits. STAY HEALTHY ❤️❤️❤️
