A teenager, Kabiru Ahmed, has been arrested by the Police in Bauchi for allegedly stabbing a 23-year old man to death over a girlfriend.
The Spokesman of the Bauchi State Police Command, Ahmed Wakil, confirmed the incident in a statement on Friday night.
According to him, the incident was reported to the Police by a good Samaritan that the deceased was stabbed on the chest and was rushed to the hospital where he was certified dead by a medical doctor.
Wakil, a Deputy Superintendent of Police said:
On the 11th November, 2020 about 21.45pm, a distress call was received from a Good Samaritan that, one Hamza Usman, Male, (23) of Anguwar Mahaukata Bauchi went to his girlfriend’s house by name Ramlat Shehu (not real name), (15) of same address, he was attacked and stabbed on his chest by one Kabiru Ahmed, Male, (18) of Karofi.
As a result of the bleeding, he was rushed to the Hospital for medical examination. There, a doctor certified him dead.
On receipt of the information, a team of Policemen was drafted to the scene and the principal suspect, Kabiru Ahmed, was arrested.
The suspect confessed to the crime and mentioned two others as accomplices, Abdul AKA (Walplay) and waleed AKA (Bandi) now at large adding that efforts are on top gear to arrest the remaining fleeing suspects.
