Teen Electrocuted While Attempting To Steal Electric Cables (Graphic Photo)

A yet-to-be identified boy aged between 15 and 17 has been electrocuted while attempting to steal electric cables.

The tragic incident occured after the teenager attempted to steal Zesco cables at Olympia Park Sub-Station in Lusaka, Republic of Zambia.

Confirming the incident in a statement, the Zesco Public Relations Manager Hazel Zulu, said the boy died in the early hours of today, March 10 near Olympia Market.

Zulu said the deceased is suspected to have been in the company of other vandals who managed to steal some cables worth about K80, 000 affecting over 300 households in the area.

Speaking to Journalists when she visited the vandalized site, Mrs Zulu urged members of the public to desist from vandalizing Zesco installations.
