South-West partnership: Sanwo-Olu opens Ekiti liaison office, governor’s lodge in Lagos

Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Governor of Lagos State, has launched the Ekiti State Liaison Office and Governor’s Lodge at GRA Ikeja.

In the company of his Ekiti counterpart, Kayode Fayemi, Sanwo-Olu commissioned the faculties.

The Lagos governor stated that the state is strategically vital to the South-objectives West since it is Nigeria’s commercial nerve center.

Sanwo-Olu stated that the administration will deepen ties and collaborate with other governments to advance regionally.

The governor further stated that his government is always willing to collaborate in order to increase socioeconomic prosperity.

He claimed that the Ekiti State Liaison Office’s location provides a conducive environment for discussions.

“It is sited within the proximity of that of Ogun, Osun, Ondo, and Oyo states, and the proposed secretariat of the Southern Governors’ Forum.

“It is a honour and privilege to have my brother Governors see the strength Lagos can bring to bear for our shared prosperity.

“When we all work together, with the understanding that we all have different skills and strengths, we can organically develop unique strength and address our weaknesses.”

Sanwo-Olu added that close ties would help the South-West and Nigeria remain on the path of growth, development and sustainability.
