- South Africa’s National Prosecuting Authority has ended the Sjava’s rape case due to lack of evidence.
- Lady Zamar’s allegations against the singer will no longer receive a trial.
Jabulani Hadebe, popularly known as Sjava, is off the hook after the National Prosecuting Authority(NPA) terminates the alledged rape case, saying there was “no concrete evidence” to arrest and charge him with rape.
Freshreporters News gathered that the 35year-old famous rapper was accused of rape by his ex-girlfriend, Lady Zamar.
It was gathered that the duo had allegedly dated for two years.
Zamar who filed the case in 2017, said that the rape incident took place at a hotel in Limpopo Province after a concert.
Owing that Sjava was emotionally and sexually abusive.
NPA spokesperson, Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi, stated that as quoted below;
“The state declined to prosecute the case because it believed the facts or evidence do not support a successful prosecution.”
Meanwhile, Shouneez Adams, the Head of Universal Music Group South Africa under which Lady Zamar is currently attached, said she has no knowledge about the case been withdrawn against the accused, Sjava.
Uptill the time of writing this report there has not been an official statement from Lady Zamar or Sjava concerning the NPA’s decision.
