The Nigerian senate is currently screening the immediate past Service Chiefs as ambassadorial nominees.
He former service chiefs are being screened by the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs led by Senator Mohammed Bulkachuwa.
The senate committee held a closed-session before the service chiefs were ushered into the room for the commencement of the screening.

President Muhammadu Buhari had announced the nomination of the ex-service chiefs via a letter sent to the senate on Thursday, February 4.
The past service chiefs are Abayomi G. Olonisakin, retired general and former chief of defence staff; Tukur Y. Buratai, retired lt-gen and former chief of army staff Ibok-Ete Ibas, retired vice-admiral and former chief of naval staff Sadique Abubakar, retired air marshal and former chief of air staff Mohammed S. Usman, retired air vice marshal and former chief of defence.
