Members of the group took to the streets in Lagos on Monday, August 5, and headed to the seat of power in Alausa as they called for caution over the planned protest by the coalition led by Omoyele Sowore and others.

Josephine Okpara, one of the leaders of the group, read a speech in which she demanded for the expulsion of Amnesty International.
The protesters accused the organisers of the #RevolutionNow movement of acting against the interest of Nigeria and its citizens.
They lamented that the #RevolutionNow protesters were acting “under the active support of some external forces that are bent on destabilising the country.

“The planned protest is a grave misdemeneur that must be viewed from the prism of treason against the Nigerian nation as there are from all indications no justification whatsoever to warrant such despicable act under whatever guise,” the group said.
It was earlier reported how fierce-looking soldiers and armed policemen, on Monday, August 5, forcefully dispersed members of the #RevolutionNow movement who converged at the National Stadium in Surulere area of Lagos state.
The Cable reports that the protesters who arrived at the stadium around 7am for the kick-off of the protest met a detachment of policemen at the entrance of the stadium.
