The 2021 budget totalling N13.5trn which was passed into law at the upper chamber of the national assembly during a special plenary on Monday, December 21 has been signed into law by president Muhammadu Buhari today, December 31.
The president signed the budget which was adjusted by the house with an increment of over 500 billion naira at the Council Chambers of the State House, Abuja.
Dignitaries present during the signing of the budge include the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President Ahmad Lawan, Speaker of the House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila, Minister of Finance Zainab Ahmed, and Secretary to the Government of the Federation Boss Mustapha.
The budget which has an increment of N505bn is predicated on oil benchmark $40 per barrel, N3.324trn for debt servicing.
The fiscal document also predicted N4.1trn for capital expenditure, N5.6 trillion for recurrent, N496 bn for statutory transfer.
