Three Yahoo boys were arrested by the police in Ogun after gang-raping a teenagerin the Ijebu-Ode area of the state.
The suspected internet fraudster are identified as Tunde Taiwo 22; Damilola Adesina 20; and Adegoke Amos, 21.
The arrest of the fraudsters was Confirmed in a statement by the state police spokesperson, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi.
According to him, the Suspects were arrested following a report by the victim at the Ilese divisional police headquarters.
He said the victim told the police that while she was going somewhere around the Ita-Ale area of Ilese Ijebu, the three men who were in a Lexus ES 350, accosted her and forcefully dragged her into their car and drove to the Rationwa area, where they allegedly took turns to rape her at gunpoint.
He said following the report, one of the suspects was arrested at their hideouts and he directed them to the other suspects where they were arrested too
He said:
“The arrested one led the police to the other two, and they were subsequently arrested.
On interrogation, they confessed to committing the crime and claimed to have believed that the police were no longer working, hence they could do anything they liked, but they were surprised when the police came after them.”
