Osimhen reacts to Rohr’s sack as Super Eagles coach

Victor Osimhen, a striker for Napoli, has wished Gernot Rohr all the best following his dismissal as Super Eagles coach.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) fired Rohr after more than five years in charge.

Since 2016, the Franco-German has led the squad to the 2018 World Cup and the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, where Nigeria finished third.

Despite qualifying for next year’s AFCON and the 2022 World Cup playoffs, the team’s performance over the past 12 months rendered his job unsustainable.

Osimhen scored 10 goals in 19 games under Rohr.
