#Oct1stProtest: Sowore Invites Burna Boy To Join #RevolutionNow Protest

The Nigerian Famous singer, Burna Boy has been invited by Omoyele Sowore, the C.E.O of Saharareporters to join him in his protest fixed to hold on the 1st day of October which is Nigeria’s 60th Independence Day anniversary . He sent the invitation via his Twitter account, likewise Instagram.

In the post, Sowore said that Burna Boy he’s often compared to the late hero afro- beat musician, Fela Anikulapo Kuti .

He further said that Burna Boy is celebrated by foreign media as a revolutionary musician but he hasn’t done any revolutionary act like Fela Kuti whom he is compared to.


Sowore wondered why Burna Boy has never led a protest in Nigeria and used the opportunity to invite this great singer to join him during his protest.

“Hello @burnaboy , everywhere I turn people describe you as a revolutionary musician , the foreign media even celebrate you, compare you to Fela Kuti , but I am yet to see you lead anyone to a police station carrying a coffin for head of state ! Join #Oct1stProtest #RevolutionNow ,” he tweeted .

Freshreporters news reports that the 1st of October protest is planned to hold in all 36 states across Nigeria and in diaspora well such as London, Sweden, New York, Netherlands, San Francisco, Canada, Washington DC and Germany.
