On Wednesday in Abuja, the legal team of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, forced the federal high court to reschedule their client’s trial for January 19 and 20 next year.
Ifeanyi Ejiofor’s legal team had opted to stay out of court in protest of security operatives’ reluctance to let a foreign counsel inside the courtroom.
Despite the fact that Ejiofor and others had entered the chamber earlier, they departed when they learned that the foreign counsel would not be permitted inside the courtroom.
When it became clear that the attorneys would not return, Justice Binta Nyako delayed the case.
Kanu, on the other hand, has been recalled to the Department of State Services.
