Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has reminded Nigeria’s Super Eagles that they have a second opportunity to qualify for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar in 2022.
This was said by Atiku in a post via his Twitter profile in response to Nigeria’s 0-0 tie with Ghana on Friday night.
Recall that the Super Eagles held the Black Stars to a goalless draw in the first leg of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying playoffs in Kumasi on Friday.
Austine Eguavoen’s team were unlucky not to overcome Ghana after squandering several solid chances.
Reacting, Atiku tweeted, “Well done, Super Eagles. You have a second chance on Tuesday to make Nigeria’s participation in Qatar 2022 a reality.

“As one, we can surmount any challenges. #OneNigeria.”
Nigeria will host Ghana on Tuesday in the reverse fixture at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
The winner over the two legs will qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar later this year.
