Nigeria Record Over 44000 COVID-19 Cases

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has announced the confirmation of 288 new COVID-19 cases.

NCDC announce a total of 44129 cases, 20663 recoveries and 896 deaths across the country.

With the new cases, Lagos record the highest daily cases of 88, followed by Kwara 33, Osun 27, FCT 25.

Others are Enugu (25), Abia (20), Kaduna (17), Plateau (13), Rivers (13), Delta (10), Gombe ( 8 ), Ogun (4), Oyo (3), Katsina (1), Bauchi (1).

Nigeria has recorded low daily COVID-19 cases for the past 5 days now which is encouraging further ease of restrictions.

On July 27, the Federal Government announced that Secondary schools in the country will reopen on August 4, 2020.

The Lagos State government also announce the reopening of worship centers in the state from August 7.
