Manchester Utd: Dimitar Berbatov reveals Ralf Rangnick’s major problem

Former Manchester United striker, Dimitar Berbatov, has revealed the major problem of incoming Red Devils manager, Ralf Rangnick.

Rangnick is on the verge of becoming Man United’s interim manager until the end of the 2021/22 season.

The 63-year-old German has reached an agreement with Man United on a six-month contract, and will then take up a two-year consultancy role.

But Berbatov believes Rangnick’s major problem is that he does not have experience coaching “really big teams”.

The former Tottenham Hotspur star is intrigued to see how Rangnick copes with the challenge of managing a team of Man United’s size.

“He’s highly respected in the football world, however with all due respect, he has managed teams like Schalke, Stuttgart and Leipzig, but he has never managed really big teams.

“United is one of the biggest clubs in the world, so this is going to be something new to him. It’s going to be interesting to see how he will cope with that situation,” Berbatov told Betfair.

Rangnick has previously coached clubs like RB Leipzig, Schalke, Hoffenheim and VFB Stuttgart in the past.

Recall that Man United sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and put Michael Carrick as their caretaker manager.

  1. Coaching big team or one of the richest club in the Europe does not give you all the experience u need, it only makes you see challenges tougher. Tuchel has only coached Nantes and b dothmond, and he is doing very well with Chelsea, maybe the opportunity to coach big team never came and now it has knocked, he will have to take up the mantle after all it is temporary base
