Manchester United Did Not Offer Me £500,000-a-week To Stay – Paul Pogba

Manchester United and France central midfielder, Paul Pogba has denied any reports about him being offered a £500k-per-week contract from Manchester United.

Pogba who is in final six months of his contract is free to talk with other clubs in Europe about a pre-contract agreement.

Reports emerged that the Frenchman is offered the midfielder £500k-per-week in order to stay with the club.

However, a spokesperson has sent Sportsmail a statement denying that.

The statement read:

“To clarify media reports, Paul has not been offered a new contract in recent months. Paul is fully focused on his recovery from injury with the aim of helping the team as soon as possible.”

United are prepared to keep Pogba during the January transfer window in the hope of convincing him to stay beyond the current campaign.
