The Anambra state police command has arrested a 28-year-old Chukwuemeka Obijofa for killing two persons.
The suspect who is of Ofufe Nza village in Ekwusigo LGA of Anambra State allegedly ran amok in circumstances yet to be ascertained and attacked his wife and child.
Obijofa allegedly attacked his 26-year-old wife identified as Chisom Chukwuemeka and his 4-year-old child named Amanda Chukwuemeka with a shovel.

The suspect strike the two victim’s heads with a shovel, he use the same object and wounded a vagilante man who was trying to rescue the victims.
Meanwhile, police detectives visited the scene and rushed victims to the joint hospital, Ozubulu, for medical attention where the two victims were certified dead by a medical doctor on arrival.
The wounded vigilante is responding to treatment, while the corpses of the victims were deposited at the hospital’s morgue for autopsy.
However, the Commissioner of Police, CP John B.Abang, fdc, has directed the DPO to transfer the case to State CID, Awka, for discreet investigation to unravel the actual cause of the incident.
