The Lagos state government judicial panel today received 15 people who claim they are victims of the October 20 Lekki Tollgate shootings.

14 out of the 15 victims led by the EndSARS counsel, Adesina Ogunlana today, December 4 said they were shot on the evening of the Lekki Tollgate incident.

The other one revealed that he was shot at Ojodu Berger. One Mr Nathaniel Solomon who came with the 15 Victims alleged that his younger brother, Abouta Solomon was shot dead at the toll gate.

According to Nathaniel, his deceased brother has been since buried in his hometown in Mubi Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

A woman identified as Aiyedungbe Olufunmi Grace, also reveal that her brother died at LASUTH after suffering gunshot wounds to the head from the Lekki incident.

According to her, after her brother’s death, the hospital authorities changed the story and said he died of COVID-19.

This is coming as the Nigerian Army admitted to the Lagos Judiciary panel of inquiry that it had deployed its officers to the toll gate with both live and blank bullets.

The Army also maintained that it had done so for the ‘protection of the force’ in case of any attack by hoodlums who had infiltrated the protests, nonetheless, the Nigerian Army continues to deny that its officers shot at and killed protesters.
