Residents of Katsina State staged a protest demanding an end to banditry attacks in the state.
Residents of Turare and Dogon Ruwa communities under Dustin-ma Local Government Area of the State came out to protest on Thursday morning.
The protesters blocked a highway to demand an end to repeated attacks by armed bandits on the community.
According to them, the protest comes as they are living in fear and the security agencies appeared helpless.
They also said the attacks in which many of their people lost their lives, injured and had their women raped angered them.
The protesters also demand the resignation of the state governor, Aminu Masari, and president Muhammadu Buhari over continuous attacks by Bandits.
Bandits have killed no fewer than 150 people in the state in the last two months.
