The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has a substantive Chairman as the Senate today, confirmed Abdulrasheed Bawa as the commission’s boss.
Bawa’s appointment was confirmed by the upper chamber of the national assembly after two hours of a rigorous question and answer session.
Reacting to his confirmation, the new EFCC chairman promised to give priority to high profile cases.

President Muhammadu Buhari had nominated Mr Abdulrasheed Bawa to replace Ibrahim Magu at the Economic and Financial crimes Commission, EFCC.
The president made the nomination in a letter to President of the Senate, Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan on February 16, 2021.
