A certificate forgery suit against the governor of Edo state, Godwin Obaseki has been dismissed by a Federal High Court in Abuja.
The court dismissed the case filled by the All Progressives Congress and one of its members, Edobor Williams.
The judgement which was delivered by Justice Ahmed Mohammed, held that the plaintiffs failed to prove their claim that Obaseki forged his academic certificates.

The court also held that, the plaintifs failed that Obaseki submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission before the September 19 2019 governorship election in the state.
However the judge during the ruling describe the attitude of the plaintiffs as lazy.
He said the plaintifs did no make any efforts to cross-check from the University of Ibadan and the West African Examination Council the two institutions that issued the certificates they claimed Obaseki forged.
