President Muhammadu Buhari has called Imo Governor Hope Uzodinma, Power Minister Abubakar Aliyu, and his Chief Economic Adviser, Prof. Doyin Salami, to a meeting at the Presidential Villa on Monday.
Malam Garba Shehu, the president’s Media Aide, verified this in a statement made in Abuja on Monday.
Shehu stated that the president will meet with them individually to discuss the current developments in Imo, the electricity industry, and the status of the economy.
Buhari decried the wave of violence in Imo on Sunday, after the destruction of police premises and assets, as well as the residence of Ohaneze Ndigbo President-General, Prof. George Obiozor.
He pledged to review the security situation in the South-East zone of the country.
The president had also expressed his concern over frequent power outages, apologising to Nigerians and assuring of prompt solution to the challenges.
