Hakeem Odumosu, the Commissioner of Police, was in his entourage, as were several state officials.
Sanwo-Olu Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, Director-General, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, provided updates (LASEMA).
As the operation enters its third day, the governor praised all responders for their work so far and offered ideas for what might be done.

The government announced that a panel of experts to investigate the tragedy would be constituted soon.
