The inspector general of police, Kayode Egbetokun, has reiterated his commitment to rescuing the kidnapped medical students in Benue unhurt.
He also urged those who discuss vital information about the incident on social media to desist, as such may disrupt the ongoing operations.
This was conveyed in a post by the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, on Sunday, 18th of August, 2024.
Olumuyiwa wrote:
“IGP Reiterates Commitment to rescuing the kidnapped medical students in Benue unhurt.
“He Calls for understanding and support as more trained detectives arrive in Benue. We commend those who share information with us confidentially, while we advise those who discuss vital information about the incident on social media to desist, as such may disrupt the ongoing operations. Kindly share information with us in confidence.”
Twenty medical students were reportedly abducted in Otukpo, Benue State, while en route to the annual convention of the Federation of Catholic Medical and Dental Students in Enugu. [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>>
