TNP, a group under the umbrella of Think Nigeria Project, has strongly denounced the ongoing spate of killings in Kaduna State’s southern area.
The organization encouraged President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Nasir El-Rufai to uphold their constitutional duty of defending people’s lives and property.
In a statement, TNP National President Abdulhamid Abdullahi Ikara and Director Media and Publicity, Cyril Oparacha, said the recent new assaults in Kaura Local Government Area of Southern Kaduna, which took 37 lives and burned down multiple houses, were disturbing.
According to the organization, insecurity is spreading in Kaduna State, particularly in Kajuru, Birnin Gwari, Zango Kataf, Chukun, Sanga, Jema’a, and Kaura, and that immediate action is required.
“We believe that justice and fairness is the genuine solution to societal conflicts.”
The group noted that due to several attacks in Kaduna State, many people have been displaced, some of whom took refuge in different locations.
