FG issues fresh order to Nigerian Armed Forces

The Nigerian Armed Forces have been asked to enforce 100% conformity with approved regimentation criteria by the federal government.

The government anticipates increased combat preparedness of fighting troops, according to an order issued by Minister of Defense Bashir Magashi.

Magashi spoke at the Biennial Reunion and Annual Leadership Lecture Series of the Nigerian Army Infantry Corps in 2021.

The ceremony took place at the Corps Headquarters in Jaji Cantonernment in Kaduna State on Friday.

Magashi emphasized the necessity to increase regimentation tempo and urged the military to retain a professional gallantry pedigree.

The retired General called the reunion “a veritable platform aimed at broadening the horizon of horizontal and vertical nexus of combat capacity and capabilities”.

Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen Farouk Yahaya, ex-Head of State General Abdulsalam Abubakar (rtd), represented by retired Maj Gen S. Z. Uba and Commander, Infantry Corps Maj Gen Victor Ezugwu agreed that the gathering was a catalyst for counter-terrorism capacity building.
