The number of those slain in the bandits’ attack on a Kaduna-bound train has been revealed by the Federal Government.
The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, said that eight people were murdered in the terrorist assault on Monday night.
He made the remarks on Tuesday while viewing the scene of the event.
On the Kaduna-Abuja route, bandits attacked a rail line between Katari and Rijani railway station.
The attackers also fired at the train’s occupants.
However, Amaechi stated that 25 people were hospitalized as a result of the incident.
He also said that several of the passengers have gone missing.
According to Amaechi: “We don’t have all the figures of missing persons, kidnapped and those injured at the moment.
