Female Police Officer Ki||s Her Husband, Then Shoots Herself D£ad (Photo)

  • Chebet shot Andari in the chest before shøøting herself in the forehead with the G3 gun, according to preliminary investigations.

In what is considered to be a murder-suicide, a Kenyan police constable shot and killed her officer husband before turning the pistol on herself.

The two constables, Abel Andari, 28, and Dorcas Chebet, 27, were discovered in their home at Kiungani Police Station in Kiminini, Trans Nzoia County, lying in pools of blood.

According to reports, Ms Chebet arrived at the Kiungani station around 10 a.m. on Sunday, January 23 and met her husband.

They locked themselves inside the residence shortly after entering.

Other gunshots were heard from the residence shortly after, according to the station’s commander (OCS), Mr Kihara added.

He claimed that after the gunshots, there was no more movement in the home. The locked door was then broken open by the cops.

The two cops’ lifeless bodies were discovered on the floor inside the residence,” he stated.

On the floor, a G3 rifle and three expended cartridges were discovered.

Chebet shot Andari in the chest before shooting herself in the forehead with the G3 gun, according to preliminary investigations.

Before the gunshots were heard, the two had barricaded themselves in Mr Andari’s residence with their one-year-old daughter, according to neighbors.

Mr. Andari had a gunshot wound in the chest, and Ms. Chebet’s forehead was dripping with blood..

Mr. Andari was remembered by his neighbors as a quiet man who rarely spoke.

Locals were outraged, and they demanded that police officers be given psychological support in order to prevent such incidents.

Mr Jeremiah Njuguna, who was present at the incident, requested that the National Police Service offer psychiatrists to police officers who, he said, face difficult situations while on duty.

“Around 11.30am, one gunshot was heard from the house of Mr Andari,” Trans Nzoia County Criminal Investigations Officer Francis Kihara told the Nation.

“This is the second case after a prison officer killed himself in Lessos. These are our brothers and as much as they handle guns they are humans and need support. The bodies were taken to the Kitale Level Four morgue awaiting an autopsy, while the used firearm and spent cartridges have been collected for forensic examination
