A fatal accident along Kaduna-Abuja highway killed not fewer than twelve persons while injuring 25 others.
The terrible accident which happened exactly at kilometer 26 of the highway further destroyed several livestock
The accident was confirmed in a statement by the Commissioner Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan.
According to him, the accident which involved a trailer was caused by a combination of speeding, road defects, driving against the direction of traffic, and loss of control.
He said:
“This caused the trailer to veer off the pavement and overturn Twelve (12) persons were killed in the crash, 25 injured,”
a crane was deployed to retrieve two dead bodies mutilated and trapped underneath the wreckage of the trailer.”
