COVID-19 Cases Exceeds 50000 In Nigeria
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has announced the confirmation of 593 new COVID-19 cases.
Infections in the country rose from 49895 to 50488 with the new cases while 4 deaths were recorded.
NCDC also revealed that not less than 37304 people have recovered from the virus.
Unfortunately, the country has recorded a total of 985 deaths in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The 593 new cases are from 16 states- Plateau(186), Lagos(172), FCT(62), Oyo(27), Delta(25), Rivers(20), Ondo(19), Edo(18).
Other cases are from Kaduna(17), Enugu(12), Akwa Ibom(10), Ogun(7), Abia(6), Gombe(6), Kano(3) and Osun(3).

As daily infections begins to climb down overtime, the Federal Government is considering opening up the country.
The reopening is however hitting a setback as Seven students of Government Girls’ College in Doma, Gombe state who are currently writing their West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) tested positive for Coronavirus.
