Court remands man, 28, for allegedly defiling 17-year-old girl

Larry Rowland, 28, was remanded in Kirikiri Correctional Centre on Thursday by an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court for allegedly defiling a 17-year-old girl.

Mrs Ejiro Kubeinje, the Magistrate, who did not take the defendant’s plea, ordered that the case file be referred to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for guidance.

Kubeinje postponed the case to June 7 to await the DPP’s recommendation.

The defendant, who lives in Akesan, Lagos, is facing a five-count allegation of defilement.

Court remands man for allegedly defiling neighbour’s daughter

Earlier, DSP Kehinde Ajayi, the prosecution, informed the court that the defendant committed the crimes on March 7 at Segun Matanmi Street, Akesan, Lagos.

According to Ajayi, the defendant tormented the girl and had canal knowledge of her.

“The girl told her mother and the case was reported to the police,” the prosecuctor said.

He said the offences contravened sections 135(1), 137, 210, 265 and 269 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

    Judgement In our hands it not good and
