Calabar Carnival festival, also tagged ” Africa’s Biggest Street Party”, begins every 1 December and lasts until 31. The carnival has boosted the cultural mosaic of Nigerian people while entertaining millions of spectators within and outside the State.
The Governor of Cross River, His Excellency, Prof. Benedict Ayade flagged this year’s theme “Humanity” he emphasised the need for all to shun war as this does not depict the true personality of those who claims are humane to humanity.
The carnival which attracts viewers across Nigeria and Africa, is here upon us once more.
The Calabar Carnival is without a doubt the biggest, best and longest tourism event in West Africa. It attracts over two million revellers and features participants from over 25 different countries.
