Buhari, Bazoum hold bilateral meeting

President Muhammadu Buhari is now holding bilateral meetings with his Nigerien colleague, Mohammed Bazoum, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

According to reports, the Nigerien president is visiting Nigeria for the second time since his victory in February 2021.

The two presidents are likely to discuss how to best address the sub-and region’s the world’s security and strategic stability problems.

”While President Bazoum’s visit is expected to last for a few hours, the neighboring leader will be received with full military honours, including a 21-gun salute.

”The relations between Nigeria and Niger are considered a true model of interstate friendship,” an earlier statement issued by the President’s media aide, Malam Garba Shehu, said.
